Cannes Lions nominated Apple for the Creative Marketer award for their “world-class creative communications and marketing initiatives.” This is the first time Apple has received this award.
Managing Director of Cannes Lions, Simon Cook, states the reason why he’s honoring Apple with this marketing award is: “The company’s marketing and communications consistently showcase creative excellence. Apple Inc. has created a culture that drives marketing strategies that ensure that its customers are true ambassadors for Apple brands.”
In response, Apple’s VP of Marketing Communications, Tor Myhren, said Apple is “humbled” to obtain this prestigious award. On the other hand, he’ll receive the award at Cannes Festival’s final awards show on the 21st of June. He states about this:
“We are humbled to receive this prestigious award. Apple has always believed creative, passionate people can change the world for the better. We make tools for those people, and we make marketing for those people.”
In conclusion, Apple’s revolutions in marketing and advertising make a striking difference in their company. They also received an award from Entertainment Lion for Music Grand Prix for its HomePod “Welcome Home” TV commercial, including another award for their “Today at Apple” programs in their retail stores.
