Along with the release of iOS 12.2, Apple updated the Apple TV Remote app with a fresh redesign and a new icon. Here’s everything you need to know about the new Remote app.
Shortly after Monday’s special event, Apple released iOS 12.2 to the public. In the update, Apple introduced four new Animoji, Apple News Plus, and AirPods 2 support along with other updates, Siri improvements, bug fixes, and other general improvements.
One of the apps that got an update was the Apple TV Remote app for iOS. With this new facelift, the app features an all-black interface with a larger touchpad surface area for controlling your Apple TV.
The new icon now depicts a grey background with a Siri Remote rather than the old black logo with TV.
According to the apps version history, this update brings “general performance and stability improvements.”
