Apple has officially confirmed that its long-rumored spring event is happening on March 25th, 2019, at the Steve Jobs Theater. The event, titled “It’s show time,” is expected to show-off the Apple TV streaming service, as well as its News subscription service.
In early February, BuzzFeedNews wrote an article highlighting that Apple “has settled on a date for its first big product announcement of 2019.” BuzzFeedNews then added, “Apple plans to hold a special event on March 25 at the Steve Jobs Theater on its Apple Park campus,” followed by “the company is expected to show off a long-rumored news subscription service.”
After some doubt, the rumors were true. Apple officially confirmed that the spring event will be taking place at the Steve Jobs Theater at 10 a.m. PDT on March 25, 2019. Unlike the education event last year, this event will be live-streamed for those who cannot attend in-person.
You can watch the live-stream on that date on your iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, or Mac. Before the event, the Apple Events streaming app on Apple TV will be updated as well. Users with supported versions Chrome, Firefox, and Microsoft Edge can also participate.
We expect Apple to release their new TV streaming service, a News subscription service, and hardware such as AirPods 2, AirPower, iPad mini 5, and iPad 7th generation. Furthermore, we expect Apple to release iOS 12.2, macOS Mojave 10.14.4, watchOS 5.2, and tvOS 12.2.
