In a sketchy new report from China, Apple is said to be preparing to launch (PRODUCT)RED™ versions of the iPhone Xs and Xs Max. Here’s everything we know so far.
According to a sketchy report from Chinese blog Weibo, Apple is planning on launching (PRODUCT)RED versions of the iPhone XS and XS Max by the end of the month.

The source was first reported by French blog iGeneration, and they state it should be taken with a grain of salt. Notable sources like Ming-Chi Kuo and Mark Gurman have not reported on this.
According to 9to5Mac, “The news supposedly comes via factory workers who heard of the plans yesterday. The lack of solid sourcing to back this rumor up makes us pretty skeptical though.”
Since partnering with (RED) in 2007, Apple has raised over $200 million through Product Red iPhone’s, Accessories, and special deals through the App Store and Apple Pay. According to Apple, “For 12 years, your support of our partnership with (RED) has helped fund programs to treat HIV/AIDS. A portion of each purchase goes towards counseling, testing, and medication to prevent mothers from passing HIV to their babies.”

Apple currently offers the iPhone Xr in Product Red, as well as numerous accessories for other products like Product Red Apple Watch bands, cases, and more.
