How To Install The Public Build From Beta

If you’re a beta user of any operating system launched in the WWDC18  and want to install the public build, you can easily update with just a few steps.

Note: Always make sure you have a backup of your data before attempting any updates.

iOS 12:

  1. Launch the Settings app on your iPhone or iPad
  2. Tap General
  3. Tap Profiles.
  4. Launch Settings, then tap General, then tap ProfileTap iOS Beta Software Profile.
  5. Tap Remove Profile.
  6. Enter your passcode if prompted and tap Delete once more.
  7. Tap iOS 11 beta profile, then tap Remove ProfileShut off your iPhone or iPad by holding down the On/Off button and using the Slide to power off slider.
  8. Restart your iPhone or iPad by holding down the On/Off button until you see the Apple logo.

MacOS Mojave:

  1. Once the public build is live, launch the Mac App Store from your Dock (or by typing Command-Spacebar to launch Spotlight and then entering in App Store).
  2. Click on the Featured tab.
  3. Click on the macOS banner atop the Featured page. If you don’t see this, you can also go to the macOS Mojave link under Quick Links on the right side of the App Store.
  4. Click the Download button underneath the macOS Mojave icon.
  5. Click Continue

WatchOS 5:

  1. Launch the Settings app on your iPhone or iPad
  2. Tap General
  3. Tap Profiles.
  4. Tap WatchOS Beta Software Profile.
  5. Tap Remove Profile.
  6. Restart Your Apple Watch.
