Apple will now start working on a headset to handle the two future technologies with its own chips which is expected to come out in 2020. This Shows Apples interest in augmented & virtual realities.
These plans have now been extended and plans for a 8K display for each eye which is 16K higher resolution than the best displays that exist today. But this headset would’nt be dependent on any iPhone or a Mac.
An year ago apple had introduced its first effort on AR and VR at its WWDC In June. Apple unvieled ARKit to let deveopers make augmented reality apps for both iPhones and iPads. And now working to bring a Steam VR For desktop Macs
These headset would be connected to a box using a high-speed wireless technology. And would be powered by an Apple processor more powerful than anything currently available, which would act as the brain for the AR & VR headset. The small and powerful chip, with the extreme high-quality video, would make the virtual reality your reality.
