Apple has unexpectedly released the newest update – iOS 11.3.1 to iPhones and iPads, in which the update comes nearly a month after it rolled out iOS 11.3 to users with features like Business Chat, four new Animojis, highly anticipated Battery Health feature, etc. The iOS 11.3.1 update can be downloaded by going to Settings -> General -> Software Update.
As Apple’s release note suggests, the new version brings a fix for display issues experienced on iPhone 8 with third-party repairs, which can disable the touch functionality of the screen. Besides, we are also seeing speed improvements, and of course, the update should patched some security issues.
iOS 11.3.1 improves the security of your iPhone or iPad and addresses an issue where touch input was unresponsive on some iPhone 8 devices because they were serviced with non-genuine replacement displays.
Note: Non-genuine replacement displays may have compromised visual quality and may fail to work correctly. Apple-certified screen repairs are performed by trusted experts who use genuine Apple parts. See support.apple.com for more information
